    • Booming home battery sales in California! How can we promote this elsewhere?

Check out this BNEF Article. Home battery sales are set to quadruple in California in 2020!

It's most likely the perceived need for backup power that is driving this in a state where high grid volatility is the norm. More residential storage means a greater ability to get clean energy flowing though - how can we incentivize this in places where volatility isn't a driving factor? Rebates are one approach but has anyone else heard of or thought about others?

    • Happy Earth Day! What are you doing to celebrate?

In the midst of self-isolation, we should all take a moment to celebrate Earth Day! Our neighbourhood has recently started collecting compost bins (late to the party I know). We've also started a backyard garden to grow our own vegetables 😊

What are other people doing to celebrate and promote positive environmental action?

@dsaxe If you were to just compare all of the functional approaches, which one do you think is most effective?

@James-Malley without giving any trade secrets away, I'm really curious how Paccurate actually works? What magic are you able to apply to consistently reduce packaging?

Product and site look great btw

    • RE: The daunting math of climate mitigation

@Josh Interesting article, which of the streams you listed in the post do you think holds the most promise?

I'm particularly interested in "Pareto principle" solutions, where typically 80% of the effects come from 20% of the causes.

Marine solar is such an interesting idea to me, I wonder what the levelized cost of electricity (LCOE) would look like for it

@Lauryn-Drainie Thanks for chiming in Lauryn! Happy to have you here. It would be awesome to learn more about CoPower as you progress. If you make a new "Projects" topic dedicated to you and your team, we can follow along! If you're open to that of course 😊

    • RE: By 2030, the number of cows in the U.S. will have fallen by 50% and the cattle farming industry will be all but bankrupt.

@Martin-Collignon I can totally believe that lab proteins will have a big reduction in cost as more players enter the space. I think the tough part will be in getting the social transition to happen. Many people are unfortunately set in their ways and not ready to transition away from real meat. Maybe the economics will be too compelling to not switch. What do you think?
